We are a group of people in the Hills District of Sydney concerned about global warming. We aim to inspire and empower the people of the Hills to take action on climate change in a meaningful way. If you live in the Hills, we'd love you to join us in our mission to decrease greenhouse pollution.

Film Screening: The Carbon Connection

The Carbon Connection presented by Hills Against Global Warming7pm Tue 11 Nov
Community Room (near Donut King)
Stockland Mall, Baulkham Hills

Two communities affected by one new global market – the trade in carbon dioxide. In Scotland, a town has been polluted by oil and chemical companies since the 1940s. In Brazil, local people's water and land is being swallowed up by destructive monoculture eucalyptus tree plantations. Both communities now share a new threat.

Next Meeting

Usually 7pm, 1st Tuesday of every month.

November 2008 meeting will be held after the film screening at the Community Room, Stockland Mall, Baulkham Hills on Tue 11 November. All welcome - see you there!

From the Team

One of our active members, Wayne, has recently installed a 12-panel solar system on his roof.

"There are 12 200watt Kyocera panels giving us a 2.5kw system. It produces 10-12kwh per day. The panels are positioned on the western side of our roof on frames facing 30 degrees (11 panels, & one above the solar hot water tubes) to the north. Integral Energy have installed a credit meter which will now allow us to be in credit (hopefully) for all our electricity usage."
